A wedding in Uttara Kannada usually means relatives travelling in from across the district and beyond: from Kumta and Bhatkal on the coast, from Sirsi and the ghats, from Karwar to the north, and from Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Mumbai. Finding a hall is only half the job; the families also need rooms, meals and parking close to it.
Hotel Pumerai brings those together on NH-66 in Honnavar, in the middle of the district's coast. Sidhvin Banquet Hall holds up to 200 guests for the muhurta, reception or a large function; Milan Hall holds up to 50 for an engagement, a mehendi evening or a close-family dinner. The hotel's kitchens cater both, from a pure vegetarian South Indian meal to coastal seafood, and 40 rooms upstairs mean the elders and out-of-town guests do not have to drive after the reception.
The hotel is directly on NH-66 with covered parking and EV charging. Murudeshwar is 26 km away, Gokarna 48 km and Sirsi 68 km; families from Kumta and Bhatkal are a short drive up or down the highway.
Honnavar station on the Konkan Railway is 3.5 km from the hotel, with taxis and auto-rickshaws outside. Share the station name with guests travelling from Mumbai, Goa or Mangaluru.
The nearest airports are Goa (Dabolim, about 160 km) and Mangaluru (about 185 km); arrange taxis for elders well before the day.
Most families choose their date by the muhurta, so book the hall as soon as the date is fixed: the October to February wedding season is the busiest. Monsoon weddings (June to September) are perfectly possible indoors, with both halls air-conditioned and covered parking at the door.

Madhura's kitchen prepares pure vegetarian South Indian menus, including Karavali-style vegetarian meals; Matsya's kitchen prepares coastal seafood, tandoor and North Indian menus for a reception. Per-plate prices are quoted for each event.
Forty air-conditioned rooms, from twin rooms for cousins sharing to the Family Suite Room that sleeps four, so you can hold a block of rooms for the bride's or groom's side. Check-in from 1:00 PM suits an evening reception, and breakfast is included with direct bookings.
Sidhvin Banquet Hall has a raised stage and podium; both halls have audio-visual support, high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, lift access and 100% generator power backup, so the music and lights keep going through a coastal power cut.
